First Home Owner Grants were introduced on July 1st 2000, the same day the new Goods and Service Tax also took affect. First Home Owner Grants were seen as a way to counteract the impact of the GST. For those who are eligible, and meet the criteria set, a $7000 grant is available, to help individuals buy their very first, permanent, residence. First Home Owner Grants are funded by the revenue offices of the Australian Central Territories, but they’re administered by each individual state’s office. Basic requirements remain true throughout those states, although each office can have particular, additional criteria, which must also be met. First Home Owner Grants are an ongoing scheme, with no current plans to withdraw them. In Fact, an additional grant has recently been introduced and funded by the Australian Government, by way of the First Home Owner Boost Scheme. It is applicable to any home … Read the rest

It is applicable to any home purchase contracts signed for on, and after October 14th 2008, and before of on June 30th2009.

Neither the price of a property, nor the individuals income, affect eligibility for First Home Owner Grants. If you do receive the $7000 grant, you might also be eligible for the First Home Owner Boost. Certain requirements do have to be met, to receive the ‘Boost Payments’. The Boost can be more than double that of First Home Owner Grants. Usually, your eligibility will automatically be considered for ‘Boost Payments’, when making your initial application for the First Home Owner Grant. Because each state has it’s own individual First Home Owner Grants scheme, ‘Boost Payments’ can also vary. Before completing purchase of your First Home, applications should be made through an approved agent, within the appropriate state. First Home Owner Grants are known to be processed within a few weeks, if the correct documentation is provided. If think you might be eligible, you can contact your state revenue office directly. Which state Revenue Office you must apply to, is entirely relevant to where the residence being purchased, or already owned, is.

Most legal residencies should be eligible for the fixed $7000, First Home Owner Grants. However, the type of property, and which state it is in, will affect the amount of the First Home Owner Boost. New homes are eligible for the most, with an extra $14,000 available, in addition to the $7000. On top of that, three thousand dollars is also available, in the form of a First Home Owner Regional Bonus, plus an additional ‘Boost Payment’ of five thousand dollars as a ‘First Home Bonus’, for those who meet criteria. Depending on the state, for a new home, the First Home Owner Boost and other supplements available can add up to almost thirty thousand dollars. In certain cases, a home which has been extensively renovated can be classed as a ‘new home’. If the residence has never been occupied, since those renovations took place. First Home Owner Grants and Boost Payments can amount to tens of thousands of dollars. Of great benefit to new ‘First Home Owners’ all over Australia.

abcnews.go.com A Dallas pastor who is accused of climbing through a window to steal fur coats and purses from her parishioner’s home on Christmas Eve claims that she was just trying to protect the property from burglars. Sandy McGriff, 52, was apprehended by Dallas police in the afternoon on Christmas Eve when she was spotted stuffing items belonging to Serita Agnew, a parishioner at the The Church of the Living God where McGriff is the pastor. McGriff, who did not immediately respond to messages left by ABCNews.com, told ABC News’ Dallas affiliate WFAA that she was checking on Agnew’s house when she caught two men breaking in. Asked why she didn’t just call the police rather than climbing through the window, McGriff told WFAA, “My mistake, I should have.” In another interview with The Dallas Morning News, McGriff, surrounded by her own collection of fur coats, told the reporter that she doesn’t “stand in need of anything.” Adding that she had a carload of groceries when she was arrested, McGriff told the paper, “I don’t know of a burglar that’s going to go shopping for groceries and then go commit a burglary.” “I thought I was helping,” McGriff said. But police tell a different story, and say that McGriff was not only caught with $12000 worth of Agnew’s possessions but gave a different name at the time of her arrest, which she then tried to evade. McGriff gave cops the name “Kathy Robinson,” one of several alias she has been known to use, according to Dallas Police …

In Fact, an additional grant has recently been introduced and funded by the Australian Government, by way of the First Home Owner Boost Scheme.

First Home Owner Grants were introduced on July 1st 2000, the same day the new Goods and Service Tax also took affect. First Home Owner Grants were seen as a way to counteract the impact of the GST.

Also, See Part Two – Gwinnett- McKendree Lake House Fire-5-5-2010 Part Two.mov My Neighbor was sleeping when another neighbor knocked on his door. When he came outside, he found his house had caught fire. At 11:37a I called 911 after I heard ‘popping’ sounds outside my window, when I opened the blinds I saw what first, from my angle, looked as if his car was on fire. I saw flames at the back of his car (backed in) and the garage door was open. I immediately called 911 even though another neighbor was on the sidewalk also on the phone, presumably calling 911. The flames quickly climbed up the corner of the house and into the soffit and attic. The fire, after talking to my neighbor later, started from items he had stacked for a garage sale and were at the corner of his house just outside the garage. Note: Weather was dry and warm, upper 70′s. One of the items set aside, as stated by the homeowner, was an old TV set which he said was facing the sun. Afterwards, we looked inside the frame of the old TV and found something much like a magnifying lens about 2 inches in diameter. Question: So could the sun have made it through to the mag. lens past the shadow of the car and ignite the materials of the old TV itself and possibly other material in the stack of garage sale items leading to the fire? As far as I know this fire is still under investigation. -S. Southard
